PreDNS

PreDNS Functionality allows you to load files to and manipulate your site before DNS is fully pointed to it. This is very useful if you are in a situation where you are moving from one web hosting company to another, or if you just want to be able to load files to your site within the first 24 - 48 hours after it is created.

To use preDNS functionality to send files to your site, use the normal instructions for FTP or Frontpage, with the following changes:

For FTP, your login name and password remain the same. The servername, however, will change from yourdomain.ext to 216.251.32.98.

To use Frontpage, you will use the normal Frontpage instructions; instead of using http://www.yourdomain.ext as the location to publish your web, you will need to use http://yourdomain.ext.previewmysite.com in order to load your site.

If you wish to see what your site would look like before DNS is pointed to it, you may visit it at http://yourdomain.ext.previewmysite.com and see what it will look like after DNS is completed.
